Find us on the Royal Mile 

Our Edinburgh bar and restaurant is on the Royal Mile at 119 High Street, Edinburgh EH1 1SG — midway down the Royal Mile, roughly halfway between Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. If you’re coming from Waverley station, we’re a five minute walk. If you’re already on the Royal Mile, you’ve probably walked past us.

Monday – Friday    10:00 – 01:00
Saturday – Sunday 09:00 – 01:00

* Food is served all day with no gap between services until 10pm.
* Open every day of the year except Christmas Day.

Getting here

On foot from Waverley train station — we are very close to Waverley station
Exit onto Market Street, turn to the right and then turn up the Mound or Cockburn Street to reach the Royal Mile. Turn left (west) and we’re a few minutes further along at number 119. Around 6–8 minutes total.

By bus — Lothian Buses stop regularly on the Royal Mile. Services 35 and 36 run along High Street. Several routes stop on the Bridges or North Bridge, a short walk away.

By car and parking — No on-site parking. Nearest public car parks: NCP Edinburgh Castle on Johnston Terrace and Waverley Mall car park, also parking in the Radisoon Hotel car park in Blackfriars Street. Street parking on the Royal Mile is paid for and restricted — check signs carefully.

By taxi — Give your driver 119 High Street, EH1 1SG, or ask for the Royal Mile opposite the radisson Hotel. Taxis and rideshare pick-up is straightforward along the Royal Mile.

Accessibility

Whiski Bar has level access from the street. We have accessible toilets and partial wheelchair access throughout the venue. If you have specific access requirements, please contact us in advance and we’ll make sure we have the right arrangements in place for your visit.
